Twitter's Chronological Feed is Back in Business!

In this fast-paced modern world full of every type of people scrambling to provide the freshest, juiciest new, Twitter is definitely a leader. Where do you look for a quick update? Twitter. Where do you go for bite-sized news? Twitter. Where do social, curious people like to gather? Definitely Twitter. And because Twitter is a go-to for the latest news, there are users who have apparently sent a feedback that top tweets curated by the platform's algorithm isn't quite fulfilling that role well; especially if the tweet is days old.

This is why Twitter is bringing its Chronological Timeline option back. Packed with a new range of potential benefits, at that.

As you can see from the screenshot above, there is now a sparkle icon at the topmost right corner of Twitter's interface. Tapping this will bring up two options; the first one being a prompt to switch the order of the Tweets you can see on your feed. If you're currently in "Top Tweets First" mode, you'll be given the option to see the latest tweets instead, and vice versa. This gives way to many possible benefits in user experience. For example, if you're a sports fan and want to see match updates in an instant, then sorting your feed chronologically is best for you.

Another additional feature that Twitter added as an update is the option to provide feedback on every feed you see. For any Tweet at all, you can tap a dropdown icon which have options like "Show Less Often," "Show fewer tweets from this person," or "This isn't relevant to me." Availing of any of these will add to the refinement of your feed's curation.

This feature is only available on the iOS for now, but will soon be added as an update for Android devices.
