Facebook Rolls Out New Features for Your Music-Lover Soul

Do you still remember the days when Facebook wasn't even a thing yet? When there wasn't fake news and political manipulation spreading around, and there wasn't care about your data getting stolen without your permission. Back in those days, MySpace was still the cool thing with its 'Top 8' friends on display, cluttered visuals, and catchy (or Evanescence) music playing on profiles.

If you can't reminisce those good times, then you're about to have a taste of it. Facebook recently announced a new range of music features; one of which allows you to choose your favourite song, take it to your profile and pin it just below your name. You can now force anyone who visits your profile to listen to your life's theme song on loop. How awesome is that?

Not really. You can't force your secret admirer to listen to one song over and over again, because Facebook's variation of the feature does not put the song on autoplay. Additionally, a visitor can only hear a clip of the song when they click on play.

Aside from this reflection-of-your-soul feature, Facebook is also enabling users to add popular songs as soundtracks to their Facebook Stories, which is also available for photos and videos posted on the News Feed. It works like a sticker which you can move around your visual media of choice.

Finally, to wrap up Facebook's music updates, the Lip Synch Live feature is now available in all regions and will soon be available for Pages. It is also adding lyrics to the said feature to make it easier for a sing-along.
